Select The Right Stream And College By Getting Complete Information on CollegeDunia

In education, career and life building, all does not go by what heart says. If heart is saying wrong in lack of proper information and data, logically with the help of right information and data, it can come back to right decision. For any information related to education - be it exams for entrance or admissions, college rating, facilities, courses, fee etc.; CollegeDunia is the right place to bank upon.

There are over 800 colleges listed currently with the count increasing everyday as the database gets updated with more information. These 800+ colleges are offering over 1600 courses. When you have a doubt or need o vet some information you are already carrying, or need a fresh lot of information; about college, course, fee, location etc,, this portal will guide you properly. For instance you want to know about colleges offering education in Arts then you would definitely want to know what courses, in what streams, where all (locations) and what type or mode (like full time, part time, distance learning or on-campus). This is the primary filtering available on the portal.

For instance, when you click on full time MA option, you get 318 colleges listed along with their rating, affiliations (if any), in what all subjects. On the top of this list it is St. Stephen's College with 9.9 rating, affiliated to Delhi University, and the top courses offered are MA in English and MA in Economics.

CollegeDunia: A Giant Education Portal For College Search Engine Raises Rs 1 Crore In Angel Funding

An online giant portal is in the making and is already making noise in the online world of education in terms of providing comprehensive information about all colleges of India, of any stream – engineering, medical, science, arts, commerce, management, finance and so on. This soon to be giant, CollegeDunia.com came into existence in May 2014 and has already acquired a leap of 1 lac visitors within 6 months. Currently having 30 people, who are managing the show, the size would be more than double, estimatedly in next 6 months. The visitors count is estimated to reach 1 million within next 6 months too.

The portal showcases over 700 colleges of India with comprehensive details like its history, location(s), flagship courses it offers, fee for individual course, admission criteria, tenure of each course, facilities and a lot more userful information in such a manner that you don’t require to visit various sites to gather scattered information. Second prime focus is on providing details of ongoing and upcoming entrance exams with their dates, criteria, where all applicable etc.

Recently, CollegeDunia Web Pvt Ltd, which is a Delhi based online college and exams search engine, raised its funding by 1 crore through angel funding from online portal Gaadi.com venture owned by MIH group initiatied by the CEO of MIH group, Umang Kumar. Though the major chunk of this funding has come from MIH group, there are certain unnamed investors too in the list whose names are undiscolsed. The founder of CollegeDunia, Sahil Chalana is quite hopeful to see this new venture reaching extreme popularity within next 6 months by means of its visitors count reaching to 1 million from its current figure of 1 lac as per the news published recently.

Poetry: The winter is coming:Two Soldiers On Each Side Of The Border

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
"The winter is coming...
Don't forget to get an extra supply
of Rum and sharing with us
like we did last year
and a year before that", -
said the soldier on that side of the border.
"Alright", nodded the soldier
on this side of the border.

"The winter is coming...
and so are the elections", -
said the local political leader
to the huge gathering.
"I promise to fulfill all your dreams
in next five years, if you
vote me this time too!
The same way I have done
for these five years".
"What rubbish!" someone
in the crowd said.

"The winter is coming..."
conversed two siblings.
"The coziness, the fireplace,
new warm clothes, hot food
and a lot more."

"The winter is coming...
This might be my last year
as my bones have
weakened
and my all clothes
are badly torn!"
said an old beggar
to his young partner.

Poetry: My Second Date With God

It is my second date
with God.

We both had forgotten
about our first date
so were pretty
excited, thinking
about a first date
between two strangers
though we both realized later
that we both were mistaken.

I had, though, thought about
God many a times during
my life, after
I gained my senses.

I had talked to God
many a times,
imaging,
imagining,
in a virtual space.

Most of the time it had
been difficult to differentiate
whether it was a talk within
me
or with someone outside, living
in another world.

The moment we met,
taking it as a first date,
but in actual a second date,
we both realized we had a
date before,
but had forgotten
each other's faces
and the time.

The first date was before
God dispatched me to Earth
after stamping me with my
date of production,
and now the second date is
when i have reached to my
expiry date and can no longer
stay here, as nobody needs me
here now.

Poetry: Education Slavery Freedom

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
A young girl of 17
at a price of her freedom of speech in her country
while fighting for education for girls
gets hit by a bullet in her head by
her own countrymen,
survives, gets another life,
but to leave her country forever
to save herself against further attacks
gets shelter in another country
where she can live, laugh and write
whatever way she likes.

She gets Nobel peace prize
within seconds, her whole country
where she was born
but had to leave at 15
takes the onus of her, for
belonging to that country
but still not promising
to give her
freedom
to live, laugh and write
on their own soil.

The girl fled away from
her own country
to gain freedom
The free country
with so many educated
men and women
is still enslaved.

A bullet hit in head
can target to take a life
but there is some power beyond
that promises to save by
overpowering cowardice
and providing another space
to breathe.

Poetry: In The Spur Of A Moment

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
In the spur of a moment,
a discord between you and me,

created ripples in the still water,
generating rile for the whole life.

The whole universe is transformed
from infinite love to negligible.

Is there another chance

to revive it back
and survive?

Poetry: Chapter Of That Book Called My Life

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

Empowerment, liberty, freedom,
learning, free mind and mindful
were the words I would have wished
to be part of first chapter of that book
titled as "My Life"
and the first chapter
titled as "My Childhood".
Instead the words that got
imprinted were totally different
and reverse.

Some books are printed only
as single copy
and single edition.

No Addendum
No Correction
No Reprint
No excuses for misprint.

Best thing is
to focus on
next chapter of that book
where the pages
are still blank
and ready to
inked with
words.

Poetry: Journey Of Life With A Ghost Within

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
Hangover is still enjoyable
with a Ghost within
I fail to kick in the right time
the Ghost not to overpower me
Ghost gives me a kick
every time I get driven and forget
the right path.

Once read a line from some writer
The power is not in staying
thirsty in a desert
but the real power is
to have a pond in front of you
full of fresh water
and stay thirsty and
controlled

I Wish the Ghost
had understood.

The race is on since long
I lose every time.
He wins every time
He has a confidence to win every time
I have a faith in me that
One day I will win
One day I will be able to kick
the Ghost,
forever!

Poetry: When I Was A Child Someone Taught Me

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
When I was a Child
Someone taught me
real learning is not in
getting good marks
but in becoming wise enough
to take right decisions
and
do right always!

When I was a Child
Someone taught me
Charity is not in giving
a donation
expecting a favor in return
but should be like
a mother
who gives everything
to her child
in a selfless manner!

When I was a Child
Someone taught me
giving a meal to a poor
for one time
will do no good in his life
but either build a courage
in him to earn his bread
on his own
or
have courage to feed him
for life.

When I was a Child
Someone taught me
Poor is not who has nothing
to eat
but the one who has plenty
with him
but no heart to share
with the one who doesn't have.

When I was a Child
Someone taught me
a beggar need not be in
torn clothes
even a man in suit
begs for fame
in return of feeding poor.

When I was a Child
Someone taught me
that knowledge
unlike money,
increases when shared
and real charity
is like a long term
investment with
God.

10 Things To Do Before I Die: Guest Post: Namitha Varma: Sub Editor The Hindu And A Writer

Recently I reviewed a very small (18 pages) poetry book from Namitha Varma titled My Heart is Your Brothel. You can read the review here. She read my post on Indiblogger in the current IndiSpire topic and got inspired to writer her own 10 wishes that she has posted on her blog. I am re-posting it here so that it gets a space in IndiSpire.

Above is the tweet from her. Below is her post:

10 Things To Do Before I Die

Glean a baby’s smile
steal a cat’s cuteness
gather the raindrops and make a necklace;
touch the whispers of the wind
feel the murmurs of the stream
drink a bowlful of moonlight
breathe in the sunlight and glow from within;
travel on the sound of the chugging train
sleep on the froth of a rising tide
walk a mile in my mother’s shoes.

If I can do these before I die,
why, death would then hardly count.

Poetry: Ten Things I Must Do Before I Die

One thing is for sure
that whosoever has come
has to go
But before I go
I have a wishlist to show.

First and foremost
I would like to climb Himalayas
when I am Eighty
To make a record
that is mighty.

Second in my list is a
World Tour
to visit every place
good and bad
to meet every one
rich and poor.

Third in the list
is a personal meet
with a terrorist
to shake his mind
and soul and
turn back into a humane.

Fourth thing in my list
is to finish all the books
that are unread so far
and read again those
that I loved to read
in first go!

Fifth is to spend a
full moon night
in a vast desert
alone
with my better half.

Sixth in the list is
to write so much
that every search on any keyword
brings my name
on the first page of the list.

Seventh - to revisit all the people
who came into my life
at certain moment
and accepted to be my
guide, mentor, coach or teacher.

Eighth in the list is
to meet top politicians
of past and present
and ask what right they had
to play with the respect of
my country.

Ninth wish is to see the whole country
every village, city and citizen
happy and mindful
rich with knowledge
and
wisdom.

Tenth wish is to ensure
that all above nine wishes
are adhered to
unconditionally,
and none remain
unattended.

10 Favorite Books I Would Love To Read Again and Again To Build And Rebuild Myself

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
Books are like old people, they always share their wisdom. Books are like young kids, they make you curious and inquisitive. Books are like women, you read more, you want to know more, till the end. Books are in fact able to provide enormous strength by refining your thought process. Books are able to knock you out with a punch. Books are treasure.

Here is the list of 10 books that I would love to read again, anytime...

Fish by Stephne C. Ludin: This book teaches you many lessons of real life in a very simple manner. It tells about the fundamental qualities of leader, doer and go-getter. It talks about faith - in yourself and in others. But if you are not able to do former, latter will not be possible to achieve ever in life. It tells how to swim safely in turbulent waters and also to make others enjoy the turbulence. It also tells how to achieve results in any kind of situations.

The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran: This is a personal guidebook for anyone. It teaches to set some basic fundamental rules of life. Kahlil Gibran's writing always hits one's mind and heart in one go and stays there for long. Somewhere Kahlil talks about Love by defining it as speechless but gets expressed when one cries. Love is like two extremes - it can crown you, and at the same time it has power to crucify you. True love is there when there are no desires or expectations from the other. Excellent stuff - soft but hard hitting.

Goal by Eliyahu M Goldratt: Excellent book and is more popular among professionals especially working in production or manufacturing environment. But even if you are not, it has lot to give. There are excellent learning hidden in the book. It tells you about simplicity in life that makes you think loud and clear. It also teaches that common sense that is supposed to be common is not too common. Most of the people lack it. It makes you understand that if your thinking is clear and you don't lose common sense in toughest of the times, you can easily come out of any kind of problem.

The Book Of Ram by Devdutt Bose Patnaik: The book is based on the epic story of Ramayana's main character Ram. It presents Ram in 11 different iconic versions and its correlation and relevance in today's scenario.

The Krishna Key by Ashwin Sanghi: The book creates a connect between the ancient and modern. The story of book goes in two different eras in parallel to each other but gradually builds a strong connect between the two in a very intelligent manner. An excellent mystery fiction.

Lower Depths by Maxim Gorky: As we all know that Gorky could not have formal education but then he had life to teach him the best of lessons and thus developed him as best of authors. The Lower Depths was the second play written by Gorky and it was released in 1902. The play soon became a big hit at Moscow Art Theater. Though it had no big plot, so to say, but the presentation of sequences in an extremely fascinating manner by Gorky made it a big hit in no time.

Broken Wings by Kahlil Gibran: I have been a big fan of Kahlil Gibran and have read him time and again. Every time I read any of his book, it gives me a different perspective of life. His writing has been magical and touching. Broken Wings. The love story has no happy end but still the writing is fabulous to give a different meaning to love, life and death.

Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra: This book also gives you great learning for practical life. It tells you the power of silence, meditation and talking to nature. It also tells you to be non judgmental about people, instances and things.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Husseini: The story is about two women, with a big gap in their ages but still sharing something very significant and common to both.

All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten by Robert Fulghum: The book was released in 1986 and has a beautiful compilation of life illustrations in form of short stories. And each story promises to teach you a new lesson.

Poetry: Prayer

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
Give me power
for not to count my wounds
but to heal.

Give me courage
for not to focus on my pains
but to recover fast.

Give me Understanding
for not to blame others
but to empower myself.

Give me Learning
for not to become cocky
but to be docile.

Give me humility
For not to run away
but to stop and take one out of distress

Poetry: Cowards We All

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

Everyone staring at the girl walking across,
stranger but for everyone most beautiful
a stab, an attack on her by another vicious stranger
everyone pass by, turn eyes
stranger is stranger
spur of feelings overflown
the beauty goes overblown
momentous everything in life
eager to indulge in desires
fail to listen to conscious

Coward Me
Coward You
Cowards We All.

Poetry: Ethnic Home And My Ethnicity

To get a presence of ethnicity
in me, my life and to make my home
I decided to land on to a new mall on internet
to get something unique, state of the art and soul touching

First item that drew my attention
was none other than a simply wow flicker
A Wonder Arts Ethenic Pillar Wall Sticker
My mind said that this is something wonderful

It is always good to connect your civilization
background, society, culture, origin to your life
It is always good to have somethings at home
to keep your culture and origin visible and alive

Being cultural and traditional keeps you intact
Having something to display at home the same
keeps life away from superfluous
making it natural, aesthetic and a point to attract

The next in the call was something that hits
the mind, heart and soul
It was out of a large number of items
to find something that meets my goal
Nothing was far but it seemed
I have to be careful in putting on my hands
on the next item with full emotional control

Well, it is said that there is a deep connect
between culture, God, nature and arts
The whole humanity on this earth
is nothing but a superpower in parts
So what else, other than God's presence
a creation of the nature right from the start

Deciding to go for Lord;s blessings
Karigaari Jali Ashtavinayak Ganesha Wall Hanging
right at the entrance point, on my door
so that it showers love, faith and a deep bonding
with everyone who comes or who is going

And no finally it had to be something special
as the call was for the third and last item
I had to decide on something very near to heart
to culture and to art
So it had to be something artistic piece of work
which was nothing but the
Aapno Rajashtan Peacock Wall Mount With Hand Painted Work
