years in Himalayas
kite high in sky
time is not the measure

कभी तो थमेगा

गहराता हुआ अँधेरा
बढ़ता हुआ सन्नाटा
बैचेनी का समंद्र
अज्ञान का बवंडर
कभी तो थमेगा

साहिल से टकराती लहरें
रेत भरे किनारों को
बार बार थपेड़ते जगाते
एक ही बात समझाती हैं

जब फासले बहुत बढ़ जाते हैं
और मीलों दूर कि लहर किनारे
आ नहीं पाती
तब लहर लहर से टकरा कर
अपना पैगाम किनारे तक
है भिजवाती

लहरों से लहरों का टकराना
दूर की लहर का किनारे न पहुँच पाना
कभी तो थमेगा

वक़्त तो लगता है

पतंग कटने के बाद डोर लपेटने में
बारिश के बाद फसल समेटने मे
ख़ामोशी के माहौल से निबटने में
बहते पानी को अंजुली भरने में
वक़्त तो लगता है

दूरियां फासलों में नहीं दिलों में होती हैं
ये समझने में वक़्त तो लगता है
