An online
giant portal is in the making and is already making noise in the online world

management, finance and so on. This soon to be giant, CollegeDunia.com came into existence in
May 2014 and has already acquired a leap of 1 lac visitors within 6 months.
Currently having 30 people, who are managing the show, the size would be more
than double, estimatedly in next 6 months. The visitors count is estimated to
reach 1 million within next 6 months too.
The portal
showcases over 700 colleges of India with comprehensive details like its
history, location(s), flagship courses it offers, fee for individual course,
admission criteria, tenure of each course, facilities and a lot more userful
information in such a manner that you don’t require to visit various sites to
gather scattered information. Second prime focus is on providing details of
ongoing and upcoming entrance exams with their dates, criteria, where all
applicable etc.
Recently,
CollegeDunia Web Pvt Ltd, which is a Delhi based online college and exams
search engine, raised its funding by 1 crore through angel funding from online
portal Gaadi.com venture owned by MIH group initiatied by the CEO of MIH group,
Umang Kumar. Though the major chunk of this funding has come from MIH group,
there are certain unnamed investors too in the list whose names are
undiscolsed. The founder of CollegeDunia, Sahil Chalana is quite hopeful to see
this new venture reaching extreme popularity within next 6 months by means of
its visitors count reaching to 1 million from its current figure of 1 lac as
per the news published
recently.
